QZ GAO
Dr. QZ Gao received his B.S. from Tianjin University in chemical engineering, Ph.D. in applied and synthetic chemistry from Nagoya University and served as a postdoc in chemistry at Stanford University. After 6 years working at Teijin Pharma, Japan and 9 years at XenoPort in the US, he founded Tianjin GuduiBiopharma in 2010. He is now a distinguished professor of the School of Pharmaceutical Science & Technology, Tianjin University, China. Dr. Gao’s main focuses are on the CADD and AI-driven drug R&D in the areas of CNS-related diseases. He invented a drug, GD-11 for therapy of acute ischemic stroke with his colleagues. Dr. Gao has contributed to 2 book chapters, more than 100 publications, and over 70 patent applications in computer-aided drug design, CNS drug delivery strategy and organic/medicinal chemistry.
